Wing Chun as it is practised today traces back to Grandmaster Ip Man, the legendary Foshan master who brought the art to Hong Kong. His teachings were passed to his youngest son, Grandmaster Ip Ching, who preserved and refined the family system throughout his life.
That authentic lineage now continues in England through the Ip Ching Ving Tsun Sub Association in Manchester, led by Senior Instructor Master Billy Davidson. As one of the few schools outside Asia authorised to teach directly in this lineage, we place great importance on preserving the principles, forms and philosophy exactly as they were handed down.
